“The firm’s foundation is based on a hands-on approach to client service. Our relationships are successful because we make the effort to understand what our clients want to accomplish. Armed with that knowledge, we can design a solution to their unique situation.”
Over the course of his 40-year career at HG&K, Lowell has established an unparalleled reputation for providing innovative business solutions and tax strategies to the most complex of transactions. These include employee incentive compensation packages and major business transactions such as mergers, acquisitions and sales. He also has extensive expertise assisting clients on a variety of tax examination and collection issues.
Lowell’s strong strategic sense, creativity, and ability to cultivate long-term relationships are among his greatest talents, but they’re hardly the only ones. More than anything else, the quality of Lowell’s leadership is the driving force behind HG&K.
“The results you achieve for your clients will only be as impressive as the talent you assemble on their behalf. We take a lead role in developing a team of professionals who have the ability to understand what our clients need, and who possess the necessary skills to deliver it to them.”
Lowell is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants.
He currently serves as a member of the AICPA Taxation Committee. In addition, he serves as trustee of large wealth family trusts.
“Too often, growth dilutes capabilities instead of expanding them. We don’t try to be all things to all people, but to grow methodically in the areas where our clients’ needs are greatest.”
Lowell has two grown daughters and two stepsons. He and his wife, Merry, are grandparents several times over. They spend much of their free time at their lake home in northern Wis., hiking, golfing, and enjoying the quiet landscape.
